Announcement on the Extension of Storage Charge Exemption Policy

Dear participants and designated depositories,
        QME has issued an Announcement on the Suggested Caps on Fees Related to Designated Depositories and Storage Charge Exemptions on 14 October 2019. After due consideration, QME has decided it would maintain the exemption policy from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020 with applicable rules unchanged. Details are as follows: 
        1. Participants
        For participating sellers who apply for warrants on our platform and complete the listing, their storage charges will be exempted for a maximum of seven days or, if less than seven days, the actual number of days concerned.
        Such exemption policy does not apply to warrants applying for cancellation.
        2. Designated depositories
        For the storage charges exempted, QME shall subsidise the designated depositories in accordance with the unified storage charge subsidy standard. Days exempted and the subsidy amounts are based on the records of QME’s system.
        Designated depositories which received subsidies shall not collect storage charges for the exemption period from participants.

        QME has the rights to announce any amendment, suspension, extension or cancellation of the exemption policy.
